Beautiful 90% Silver 1922 D Peace Dollar

this beautiful coin, and I must now part with it, with the hope that someone will acquire
it that knows its history and value.
It is a circulated coin,
so you are buying a coin with flaws.
There are multiple lines on the item, they may be die cracks or due to wear. You can see one
on the front, running from the "in god we trust" to the "1922" date.
There are multiple scratches on the coin on the front and the back.
There are dings on the face of the image, three to four near the mouth.
It is slightly worn, most noticeable on the obverse side (the eagle side), with the words
"peace" and "one dollar."
It is 90% silver content, and would make a great addition to your collection, or to begin one.

The 1922-D Peace Dollar is generally found well struck, but may often be encountered with die cracks. At the Denver Mint, the silver dollars were produced with higher striking pressure and the dies were often left in use after cracks had begun to develop. In some cases significant cracks can be seen extending in arches over the upper and lower portions of the obverse.

ad the difficult task of following the popular Morgan Silver Dollar design. All-new depictions of Liberty and the American bald eagle debuted on this original coin, and are recaptured perfectly on this  1 oz Peace Dollar Coin.
The Peace Dollar coin from the United States Mint was introduced in late 1921 as a replacement for the Morgan Silver Dollar. While the latter was the primary design on American dollar coins from 1878 to 1904, its reintroduction in 1921 was short-lived.
In an effort to adopt a new silver dollar coin design that year, the US Mint sought out a design that better represented the nations post-World War I – a desire for peace. This design from Anthony de Francisci showed Liberty in a left-profile portrait with softer facial features and a larger crown. The reverse showed the American bald eagle at rest, perched atop a hill with only an olive branch in its clutches.
On the obverse face of this 1 oz Peace Dollar Coin you will find the Franciscis Liberty design, including the engravings Liberty above.
