    Judging from the spring ring closure this is a vintage piece. I feel sure this was made by an artisan. It has a 26" long chain and the flattened freshwater pearl is above a wire loop. You put the stem of your glasses through the hole and that way you can wear them so you don't lose them every five minutes. Very attractive and tasteful and really looks like jewelry when you are wearing your glasses on your face. See pictures.
