Hudson & Allen's Oriental Rug (4 3/4 inch by 2 7/8 inch) is a miniature woven fabric made for multi scale model and diorama use. This style represents common Turkish and Persian rugs that might be found in European and American homes from mid-1850's until present.
The creative modeler can find many uses for these rugs. Dining room, parlor, foyer or in front of a fireplace. Other uses would be in damaged buildings or rolled up and used along with refugees belongings.
Modelling Tip: Some rugs appear without fringe and this can be easily shortened or removed with sharp scissors. If you plan to roll them up we suggest that you consider cutting them in half to get the appearance of two rugs. To fix in place simply use common white glue thinned down with warm water and a drop of dishwashing soap. Experiment in toning down the colors by soaking the rugs in strong tea or coffee for an aged look.
