    Description

    The Knights of Pythias was formed in 1864. The hilt is leather wrapped with bass.  Griffins are on each side with the initials UR which is a full knight. Uniformed Rank.  KP is also on the scabbard which stands for Knights of Pythias.  The scabbard has Hercules between two pillars underneath the initials FCB which stands for friendship charity and benevolence. The sword is 35” and 36 1/2 w the scabbard.  The sword maker is the M C Lily company which was founded in 1864 and continued to make regalia until 1933.
