Description
The name Cacharel, for many of you, comes attached to the famous perfume, Anaïs Anaïs. However, the fragrance, first among many others to come, didn’t happen until 1978, and the clothing line, which set off the name, was found in 1962. This darling skirt is typical of the early Cacharel style. Sassy, young and bright – the colors alone make it a feast to the eyes– are some of the attributes, in addition to its superb condition, that make it so valuable. Purchased at Neiman Marcus, in the mid-seventies, this skirt looks like it was created yesterday. Made of the finest Merino wool (“pure laine” in the brand label), this timeless A-line piece is a Petite size 4, and the lining – also in top shape – is a dark ecru silk.
NM still carries Cacharel, and Gisele Bündchen, Kate Moss and Laetitia Casta are some of the noted models that have been associated with the brand. If you’re a vintage lover, you’ll be delighted to own this beautiful example.
